Good to know

Food tester FAQ.

How do I become a food tester with Eatpol?

Download the free Eatpol app from the App Store or Google Play, create your profile (a few details about you and your delivery address, about 5 minutes), and start joining paid studies that match your profile. No experience, degree, or MBA is required — anyone aged 18 or older can take part.

Is the food tester program free, and how do I get paid?

The Eatpol food tester program is a free way to get paid for your opinion on food. After you download the app you can join paid studies — quick video interviews (Vox) or in-home product tests (Domus). It is free to join, there is no subscription, and you choose which studies you take. You always see the payout before you accept, and you're paid within a few business days.

Can I get paid to taste and test food from home?

Yes. Most studies are done from home: Vox interviews are recorded on your phone, and for Domus product tests Eatpol ships food samples to your door so you taste and test them in your own kitchen. You see the payout before accepting a study and are paid within a few business days.

Do I need an MBA, a degree, or experience?

No. You don't need an MBA, a degree, or any prior experience to become a food tester (also called a food taster) with Eatpol. Anyone aged 18 or older can take part — we're looking for everyday eaters, not experts.

How much do food testers get paid?

Compensation varies with the type and length of the study, and you always see the amount before you accept. Payments are sent within a few business days after you submit your test.

What's the difference between Vox and Domus?

Vox is a short video interview (about 15 minutes) where you share your opinion about food products. Domus is a full in-home test — Eatpol ships food samples to your door and you record your cooking and eating experience. You can take part in one or both.

Why does the app ask for my address?

Your location is used to match you with studies running in your region, and for Domus tests your address is where the food samples are shipped. Your details are encrypted, stored in line with GDPR, and never shared.

What happens to my video recording?

Your face is automatically masked by AI. Videos are analyzed by Eatpol's system and securely stored in compliance with GDPR. Raw footage is never shared.

Do I need special equipment?

Just a smartphone with a camera and an internet connection. Simple setup instructions are provided inside the Eatpol app.

Is being a food tester a job with a salary?

It isn't a traditional job with a fixed salary — it's flexible, paid participation. You're paid per study you choose to complete, the amount is shown upfront, and you're never obliged to take a study. Many people do food tester studies from home to earn extra money in their spare time.

Can I delete my food tester account?

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from the You tab in the Eatpol app, and your data is removed in line with GDPR.
